Dixie's Lower Antelope Canyon Tour with Navajo Guide

Our tour with Dixie’s Lower Antelope Canyon Tours was exceptional, and our Navajo guide, James, made it truly memorable! He is a down-to-earth, warm, and considerate person who took great care of everyone throughout the tour. What particularly impressed us was James’s ability to walk backward through the canyon while actively engaging with the group, sharing his knowledge, and ensuring everyone was comfortable and keeping up. Even though he was guiding a group of 16 people, he made the experience feel personal. His photography skills deserve special recognition! He patiently took pictures of every party using their own cellphones at the most strategic and beautiful locations. Those photographs are now wonderful additions to our photo albums, and some are good enough to become wall posters! The canyon itself is breathtaking. Its narrow, winding passageways, flowing sandstone walls, and beautiful shades of red, orange, and gold create the feeling of walking through a natural work of art. Over thousands of years, water and wind have sculpted these remarkable formations, while sunlight filtering through the openings above creates ever-changing patterns of light and shadow. It is a photographer’s paradise, but experiencing these formations in person is even more awe-inspiring. What made the experience especially meaningful was James’s explanation of the local Navajo culture, the history of the canyon, and the importance of respecting this sacred land. His local knowledge and genuine respect for his heritage added a deeper, personal dimension to the tour. One particularly thoughtful aspect was his encouragement at the beginning, where we had to descend a steep ladder into the canyon. For anyone who has a fear of heights or feels apprehensive about the descent, having James there to reassure and encourage us made a real difference. His patience and support helped us overcome our initial hesitation and fully enjoy the adventure. Highly recommend Dixie’s Lower Antelope Canyon Tour, especially if you get James as your guide. When asked what I loved most about the tour, I found it difficult to choose. When you are surrounded by incredibly beautiful, naturally formed art, and at the same time, guided by a an individual that is simultaneously friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, you find yourself awestruck. If you ever find that you can only put one thing on your bucket list, make it Lower Antelope Canyon, guided by Dixie's. this isn't a paid endorsement. This is fact. I've traveled the whole world, and this canyon and tour is at the top of my list.

Our original booked tour was at 8:45 am. We missed the check in time and reached at 8:50 am. The clerk who helped us check in was very helpful and she rebooked us at 11:15 am same day. We had almost 2 hours in the meantime. She recommended us to visit nearby Bidi the arch. We had great time. The guide who ushered us in the canyon was also very informative and helpful. She took some memorable pictures for us. I must say one should visit lower antelope canyon and enjoy the natural wonders. Thank you Dixie Tours for this opportunity, Lastly the price was very reasonable.

Terran was a terrific guide. He knew a lot about the land and its geology. He made sure everyone in our group was safe. And he assisted us in making the best pictures. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing experience at Lower Antelope Canyon. The canyon itself was absolutely breathtaking, but what made our visit truly special was our guide, Edar. My daughter suddenly felt unwell during the tour, and Edar was incredibly kind, patient, and caring. He made sure she was okay and helped us through the situation with great professionalism and compassion. We are very grateful for his support.
