Getting started

Meet your expert English-speaking guide at Antelope Point Launch Ramp 30 minutes before your tour. After check-in, you’ll receive a safety briefing and basic kayaking instruction before getting fitted with a U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket. Grab a dry bag for your personal essentials, settle into your kayak, and get ready to set out across Lake Powell toward Antelope Canyon.

Lake Powell kayaking experience

Begin your adventure on the water, paddling through Lake Powell toward the mouth of Antelope Canyon. As the route carries you between towering sandstone walls, you’ll experience the canyon from a perspective that’s only possible from the lake, with calm stretches of water making it easy to settle into a comfortable paddling rhythm.

Antelope Canyon hike

Once you reach the shallower end of the water route, leave your kayak behind and continue on foot into the lower section of Antelope Canyon. Walking between the narrowing sandstone walls gives you a closer look at the curves, textures, and formations carved into the rock over thousands of years.
