About Anne Frank House

The Anne Frank House in Amsterdam is where Anne Frank wrote her diary during WWII while hiding from the Nazis for 2 years and 35 days. You can visit the secret annex where she and her family lived in hiding. It's a powerful reminder of the horrors of Nazi persecution and a testament to human strength. It has been preserved in the same condition as when the Nazis ransacked the house after arresting its residents, inviting people from all over the world to pay their respects and learn from her story.

We had an amazing walking tour of Anne Frank’s story in Amsterdam with our guide Zoe, who was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. My husband, our 17-year-old son, and 15-year-old daughter all found it deeply moving. Visiting the Anne Frank House exceeded our expectations, and the experience inspired our daughter to buy Anne’s book to read. It was both informative and emotionally powerful – highly recommended!

Our guide, Nina, was exceptional. She was knowledgeable, focused and clear in her presentation! She read excerpts from Anne Frank's diary that were thoughtful and moving. She showed pictures that related to Anne Frank, her family and the Jewish Quarter in Amsterdam. I had been on many tours during the past week and Nina was by far the best guide!

Although Project Night Watch kept me from the painting I really came to see, I had a wonderful afternoon revisiting and learning from some of the masters. I wasn't really prepared for how struck I was by Whistler's arrangement in grey and yellow. Nor did I expect such a rush of joy as I got in front of Vermeers and Rembrandts. The acoustics in the central halls and stairways is atrociously horrible, but once I had a quiet moment in the magical library I was over it.

This was an amazing tour. So full of history which I loved. Yes it made me a bit sad at times knowing how people have treated people at times but that is our history and this tour and the host were very detailed in presenting much more detail than I expected and I am so glad I went on this tour.
