You cannot visit Andalusia, that other Spain, without going to Córdoba and visiting the Mezquita. It was the final stop of our three-week journey. They transformed the former mosque into a cathedral, blending styles into a syncretism that leaves you speechless! Preserved in this way, it stands as a testament to all humanity that it isn't always necessary to tear everything down to rebuild. The tour can be done with a guide. We chose to visit without one, armed only with our Routard travel guide, which is remarkably thorough. On top of that, my wife is a history teacher. This allowed us to wander wherever we pleased and soak up the site's unique atmosphere, before finishing at the Orange Tree Courtyard outside.

Booking in advance to visit the Mosque-Cathedral was super easy on the Headout website. 1 hour later, the tickets were already downloaded to my smartphone. Scanning the QR code at the entrance of the Mosque-Cathedral was a breeze. You absolutely must visit this place! It's the most beautiful building I've ever seen 🤩 I highly recommend it.

Everything worked out very well. However, audio guides were available right in front of the entrance in various languages for €5. Great sight. We were here 40 years ago with fewer tourists. Despite the huge crowds, it was very well organized and impressive. You just have to tune out the hustle and bustle and noise.

Perfect! What a contrast with Granada and overtourism. We were scammed by a guided tour agency in Granada, complete with an email confirmation of payment and a guide who never showed up! We hope to get a refund. Also, thank you for your warm welcome and professionalism.

Go right at opening and on your own to fully experience the grandeur and beauty of the place. Away from the crowds and sheltered from guided tour groups. Then, it's magical.... Later in the day, let's just say the experience is very different.
