The visit was pleasant. A little too crowded, though, and difficult to move around the popular sites. The audio guide is very well done. A few language errors created by the ia robot. I know what I'm talking about because I'm an audio professional. The steps in the guide are well thought out, although it's not easy to walk around and follow the chronological order of the audio guide. Despite our best efforts to understand, we didn't visit in the same order. A few more photos and snapshots might help to suggest the right route. Is it possible to download the guide? That would be nice as we paid for it. Thank you

My visit to the Acropolis and Parthenon was absolutely unforgettable. The ticketing process was smooth and convenient, and having the optional audio guide made a huge difference. It provided fascinating historical details and context that helped me truly appreciate the significance of every monument. Walking up to the Parthenon was breathtaking—the views over Athens are stunning and the atmosphere is filled with history. Despite the crowds, the site felt very well organized, and I never felt rushed. This experience is a must for anyone visiting Greece, and I would definitely recommend booking with Headout for the ease and excellent service.

The acropolis museum was a highlight from my 10 day trip to Greece. The story highlighted the history of the Parthenon, attending to the mythology of Athena and Poseidon's battle for the role of protector of the city. It also highlights interesting archeological findings, history on why statues were destroyed, and stories about other Gods and Goddesses. Below the main museum was an excavation site that was interesting. I also wandered to an exhibit regarding Iraqi dates that was touching. There was artwork in this area made out of date packaging. There was an area to sign a book, which I did happily, to express a call for peace. 10/10!
    • Enter the Acropolis and witness Parthenon's ruins, a former temple dedicated to the goddess Athena.

    • Explore the Greek citadel, especially the Porch of the Maidens with columns carved as regal ladies that glow when the sun shines on them.

    • Avoid the lines at the Acropolis Museum which houses artifacts like the Head of Alexander The Great, the bronze statue of Goddess Athena and more.

    • Enjoy access to the museum's excavation site, revealing the remains of an ancient Athenian neighborhood dating back to 3000 B.C.

    • Fun fact: The temple symbol on UNESCO's logo represents the Parthenon, highlighting its global significance and historical importance.

Visiting the Acropolis Museum in Athens turned out to be a wonderful experience. I came to the city with my wife, and since the day was rainy, we decided to spend some time indoors. Choosing the Acropolis Museum proved to be the perfect decision. The museum beautifully captures the long and complex history of the Acropolis, offering visitors an in‑depth look at its significance over the centuries. What struck me most was how clearly it illustrates the fate of the Parthenon’s artistic treasures. Many sculptures and artifacts have been taken from Athens by successive invaders, and today they can be found in museums across France, the United Kingdom, and Turkey. Despite repeated letters of intent, these artifacts have not been returned to their rightful home. In one of the most powerful displays, the museum presents white plaster replicas of the missing friezes, serving as a silent yet moving protest against the looting of Athens’ cultural heritage. The Acropolis Museum is not only a place of art and history but also a reminder of justice that is still waiting to be fulfilled.

The Acropolis Museum is a truly impressive place that perfectly combines ancient history with modern architecture. The building itself is beautifully designed, filled with natural light and glass walls that create a strong connection between the exhibits and the Acropolis just above it. The museum displays original sculptures and artifacts from the Acropolis in an elegant and educational way, helping visitors understand the cultural importance of ancient Athens. The layout is clear and easy to follow, and the explanations are concise and informative. One of the highlights is the top floor, where the Parthenon sculptures are arranged in the same order as they originally appeared on the temple — a brilliant idea that gives visitors a real sense of scale and context. Overall, the Acropolis Museum is modern, well-organized, and deeply moving — a must-see for anyone visiting Athens.

I enjoyed it. I've been to the Acropolis many times. The audio guide, while a little hokey at times (Maria ... really?), gave me a more coherent appreciation of the layout, history, and architecture of all the buildings on site then previous visits when I wandered on my own. I would have liked more information on the amazing feat of Manolis Glezos and Apostolos Santas tearing down the Nazi flag from the eastern end of the Acropolis, the first act of resistance to the Nazi occupation. But overall I thoroughly enjoyed the guided tour..

The place was dreamlike, the application easy to use. The ticket was changed at destination without problems, only that the day and time booked did not allow the entrance due to a staff strike so they put together all the schedules in one and the place was full of additional people and it was close to noon and it was hot losing the sense of getting the ticket at 8:00 am. Luckily we were able to get in and see this marvel. I am sorry for the other people who had to travel at noon and were not allowed in.

Very easy to navigate as a first time visitor. Staff are very friendly and speak english. We were slightly late but there was no issues with the time. It was pretty busy, but that was expected because it was a Sunday afternoon and the weather was really good. The lines to get up to the acropolis were quite long but still enjoyable. More time to take in the sights and talk to other fellow travellers. Truly breathtaking views and great photo opportunities for your instagram posts.
