The Blue Lagoon is extraordinary; both a tourism draw and a really unique geological site. The huge new berm in the front speaks to just how nearby the volcanic activity has been recently.

Great baths. Wasn't over crowded, but it is touristy (everyone seemed to speak a language other than Icelandic). The lake at this time of year is partially frozen still but very lovely to see. The hot springs is fresh water and I felt was better for the skin. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Secret Lagoon had definitely made some upgrades since the last time I was here a couple years ago and I enjoyed it quite a bit. It still holds it's classic nature as the oldest pool in Iceland and does it's job to warm you up after a cold day out doing excursions. The staff are all friendly and there is a quick (45-60 second video) on what to do at the lagoon. I would recommend.

Easy booking online, separated showers (soap included), outside only warm water pools qith typically mistic fog, no sauna. Sensational short walk, not 2 cold in bathing suit...
