Absolut fantastisch. Der Tour Guide (Stephen) hat uns am Parkplatz abgeholt zur vereinbarten Zeit. Bus war arrangiert um zur Marienbrücke zu fahren. Stephen war der beste Reiseführer, den ich jemals getroffen habe. Wirklich fundiertes historisches Wissen, sehr unterhaltsam. Perfekt erklärt wie der Ablauf ist. Tour ist Schloss war auch sehr gut. Kutschenfahrt zurück ins Tal. Bester Tag. Kundenservice war auch super, als ich Fragen zu den Tickets hatte. Absolut zu empfehlen.

The whole day was perfect, from locating the bus exactly where we were informed it would be, to our knowledgeable guide, who fed us snippets of information about Ludwig II during our journey, to the well-arranged visit and tour of the stunning Linderhof Palace, then lunch by the beautiful lake in Nueschwanstein, before the guided tour of the amazing Neuschwanstein Palace. It was then back to Munich, with return time as expected. Thank you for a magical, memorable day!

The entire tour was well organized with our guide, Stephen providing detailed information on Neuschwanstein Castle as well as it builder King Ludwig. It was a very busy day but he made sure that we had time to enjoy the views from St Mary's bridge and arrive for our scheduled tour of the castle. He stayed with the group until the horse carriage arrived to transport everyone back to the village.

We liked the organized nature of the tour, less "thinking" involved. If not on a tour, I honestly don't think we'd have enjoyed it as much, e.g. getting up to the bridge in the shuttle bus, handling the mosh-pit of a queue/line getting to the bridge, and managing time (to get through the (struct) ticketed entrance), etc.

It was so amazing, the tour guide Jay was so helpful and funny during the tour, The us was breezy and easy to find and board. The castle and the palace are absolutely gorgeous and a one in a liftime feeling.

The lady where we collected our tickets was amazing really made our day. The castle was out of this world but sometimes it's the people you meet along the way that you remember oat!

A wonderful tour from start to finish! The guide was personable and accommodating. The driver was also very funny. We learned not only about the castles but also Munich, so that was a nice bonus. Both castles were very beautiful and the live tour for the first castle was especially entertaining and interesting. For the second castle, it was only an audioguide, but it was good quality. We didn't get a photo from the bridge because the queue was incredibly long, but it didn't matter - we still got some lovely photos and experienced the castle up close. I would definitely do another tour with this company!

Mein Besuch am Schloss Neuschwanstein war eine wunderschöne Erfahrung! Bevor ich zum Schloss ankam, hatte ich nicht gewusst, dass ich so viel über die Geschichte Bayerns und die Literatur der germanischen Mythologie und Sagen lernen werde. Diese sind Themen, an denen ich als Studierende in Germanistik und Mediävistik großes Interesse habe. Leider sind innerhalb des Schlosses gemachte Fotos nicht erlaubt. Deshalb kann ich visuelle Darstellungen in meinen Kommentar nicht einfügen. Trotzdem soll das berühmte Bild des Schlosses Neuschwanstein die perfekte Einladung dazu sein, seine Geschichte zu entdecken und eine sagenhafte und prächtige Vergangenheit zu erleben!

After a brief security check, make your way to the castle entrance. Step inside to admire the castle's interior, a stunning example of Romanesque Revival architecture, adorned with medieval-inspired murals, intricate woodwork, and lavish furnishings. What's not allowed

Photography and animals, including service animals.

You are not allowed to drive up to the castle in a personal car.

Accessibility

Neuschwanstein Castle offers an elevator for wheelchair access. To ensure availability, we recommend you reserve it in advance.

The hiking trail to the castle is paved and partly very steep. It's best to use the horse carriage transport where any regular-sized, foldable wheelchair can be stowed in the trunk of the carriage. Please note that the carriages do not have a ramp.

It’s recommended to wear comfortable shoes.

Please note: For the royal castles, entry tickets for babies, toddlers, and children are required, along with a valid document.

The optional audio guide is available in English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Japanese, Mandarin, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Czech, Hungarian, Korean, Slovenian, Greek, Thai, Arabic, Hebrew, and Dutch.

If you plan to book the Neuschwanstein & Hohenschwangau Castles Combo Entry Tickets, please note the following:

Important: The 'Starting Time' you choose (shown on your voucher) is your ticket collection time, not your castle entry time. Your castle tour will begin more than one hour after you collect your tickets.

Please collect your tickets from our office at International Ticket & Travel Center, Bahnhofstrasse 12, 87629 Füssen, near Füssen Train Station.

Getting to our office: If you’re arriving by train, you’ll find our office at the end of the platform at Füssen Train Station. For those arriving by car, parking is available next to the office.

After collecting your tickets, please budget at least 90 minutes to reach the castle. This includes time for parking and transportation by shuttle, horse-drawn carriage, or on foot.
