5 stars wow, just wow! Took my girl to see My Neighbour Totoro and it was pure magic from start to finish. The puppets are incredible, those little soot sprites scurrying around, the massive fluffy Totoro that makes you want to hug him, and the Catbus zooming across the stage had everyone grinning like kids. The music is beautiful and the whole thing feels so gentle and heartwarming, especially the bits with the sisters dealing with their mum being ill. It really captures that Studio Ghibli wonder without feeling forced. My girlfriend was glued the whole time, and even I got a bit emotional in the quiet moments. One of the best things I’ve seen in London, if you love the film or just want something joyful and special, go see it! Totally worth it.

What a truly beautiful show! When booking I was excited to see how they would bring this lovely story to a live action/puppetry version. Without giving too much away, my mind was blown! This is a must-see for adults and children alike. The cast are amazing, Totoro and his friends will take your breath away, and the puppeteers must be congratulated for their amazing expertise. It's a spellbinding production that will stay with me for a very long time.

I was a fan of the movie to begin with but this completely blew me away. I believe it's a story everyone can take something from, regardless of age. The stage production far surpassed my expectations and they were already quite high after seeing Spirited Away. A story about two girls going through a hard and dark period and the first spirit who helps them keep fear from taking over, with so many funny moments in between, it was an absolute joy to watch!

The story

Join sisters Satsuki and Mei as they move to their curious new home in the countryside. Exploring their unfamiliar surroundings, they soon encounter a world of spirits, spritesand magical creatures. Maybe it was all a dream? Or perhaps they really are now friends with the giant, ancient protector of the forest named 'Totoro' and his friend the 'Catbus'.

The play was exactly how the show is written, the puppetry was incredible, the actors all portrayed each character amazingly and showed great emotion. The craftsmanship of the costumes and puppets was outstanding. Would reccommend.

The show was superb, very beautiful, with incredible set design (Totoro was so cute), the actors were perfect, and the two girls were extremely expressive. It was also very moving; we were completely immersed in the story!

Die Aufführung ist fantastisch. Die Figuren sind sehr fantasievoll und liebevoll gestaltet. die Bühnenbilder sind grandios. die Schauspieler sind sehr überzeugend, die Menschen, die die Figuren bewegen leisten einen super Job. Die Sängerin und das Orchester sind ebenfalls große Klasse. Alles in allem ist es eine gelungene Aufführung für Groß und klein.

Our family of three (daughter 9 years old) absolutely loved this show. Close to the original movie, with Totoro spectacularly rendered, this show was both funny, moving and a real visual (and auditory) treat. Awesome!

Suggested age for this show is 6+, but younger guests are welcome. The show will be quite long, quite loud in parts, and possibly scary for some younger children at times. Children need to occupy their own seats at all times throughout the performance. This production is not suitable for children under 4 years of age (including babes in arms).

Keep in mind, the theater is air-conditioned throughout the year and can get a bit chilly. Bring along a light jacket if needed.
