It was the second time we have been to Intrepid and again it did not disappoint. Coupled with Fleet Week and all the associated stands, our time there passed too quickly. Although the weather was not too great, rain after all the sunshine, there was plenty to do inside the ship. It was wonderful to see the tall ships along the quayside. Everybody was so friendly.

Visited with 3 children ages 5 -10, during Kids Week at The Intrepid Museum. They were not too sure at the beginning, but all ended up loving it! Being able to see actual planes and helicopters (even climb inside one!) helped solidify how HUGE the ship had to be to accommodate all the aircraft, as well as all the people to run the ship. We climbed up and around every available level, seeing what life was like on board. Staff we readily available for information and directions, in addition to the map (available in multiple languages). Kids Week activities had something for everyone to do, and gave a change of pace for everyone from time to time throughout the day. We stayed much longer than we had anticipated, as there was so much to see and do, and all went home tired and happy.

Crawl through torpedo rooms, navigate the control room, and imagine the tension and camaraderie as you explore the Cold War-era submarine Growler.

Deepen your understanding of American art at the Whitney Museum and see works of established and up-and-coming artists.

Don't miss Edward Hopper's New York exhibit which explores the artist's depictions of life in New York City, like Early Sunday Morning and Yonkers.

Fun fact: The museum was born when the Met rejected Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney's donation of works by living American artists.

Headout is awesome! The interface works so user friendly, and I could save some bucks with the discounts as well. What else would I need. Also, I can now explore more based on suggestions from Headout. I love it.

Definitely not a place to miss . It's really well organized , lots to see and learn from , the submarine tour was my favorite . The top hangar was also excellent , the space Centre was great . Great to go with your kids . They had such a great time and also learned a lot ....

Shutterbugs, take note: Flash photography, tripods, and selfie sticks are not allowed inside the venue.

Safety is a priority so access to the Growler is restricted for guests under the height of 1m (3.28ft).

Strollers, large bags, and backpacks are not permitted on the Growler.

Keep in mind food & beverages, luggage, and large bags are not allowed on this experience. Pack wisely!

This experience is mostly wheelchair and pram/stroller accessible. However, the submarine, gun tubs, anchor chain room, captain's bridge, and Concorde are not accessible.

Trigger warning: Areas inside the Growler are narrow and may not be suitable for visitors with claustrophobia.

Your guide dogs are welcome at the venue.
