We had a wonderful experience at Home of Carlstad. The historical storytelling was one of our favorite parts, especially the section where the historical figures were brought to life—it made the visit much more engaging and memorable. The restaurant is also a lovely place in its own right, with a great atmosphere and a really enjoyable experience. The only thing we felt could be improved was the museum bar. We would have loved to see a wider selection of beers, especially considering the overall character and history of the place. Overall, a beautiful and memorable visit. Highly recommended!

The brewery and the tour is superb. Nothing tastes better than a carlsberg from the bar in the brewery itself. I particularly liked the Liverpool collection and the advert celebrating the partnership. Also bagged myself some special glasses in the shop to celebrate myself

We did the self guided tour. There was so much great information about the past, present, and future of the company . There was a lot of fun interactions to play along throughout the tour. The sausage sandwich was delicious which paired with the beer .

Step into the heart of Carlsberg’s history at the Home of Carlsberg Experience that's as refreshing as the beer itself. Explore the original 19th-century brewery, where you’ll see vintage brewing machinery, learn about the science behind yeast and fermentation, and discover how Carlsberg shaped the world of beer. Wander through the fascinating exhibits, including the world’s largest beer bottle collection, and dive into the stories of founders J.C. Jacobsen and his son Carl. Take a break with a refreshing drink, then visit the sculpture garden and meet the iconic Carlsberg horses. It’s a toast to history, innovation, and the love of beer.

The tickets are dated, not timed. On your chosen day, you can visit the museum any time between 10am and 4pm. Upon arrival, you will be assigned to the next available entry time slot.

The museum is open till 6pm, but entry to the museum closes 2 hours before closing time.
