Экскурсия была интересной и насыщенной фактами. Рассказ гида начался прямо от точки встречи. И продолжался 1,5 часа. На верхнюю точку купола нас отпустили самостоятельно и мы попали туда, когда время посещения для не групп видимо закончилось. Потому что в какой-то момент нас там было всего несколько человек. А на обратном пути под куполом я была совсем одна и могла осматривать все не торопясь. В общем тот редкий случай, когда получил больше, чем ожидал.

Our guide Aurora, not sure I've spelt correctly, was fantastic. So knowledgable, friendly and funny. The tour was amazing and well timed and paced. The area beautiful and the Cupola was stunning as was the view from the top! Worth the climb. It was paved out into segments. So we didn't do all 463 steps in one go. But at the end you probably do 260, and I was puffed out at a fairly fit 51 year old. But it was worth it.

The history that our guide had about the Duomo. The walk up to the terraces and top of the Dome and viewing of the fresco paintings inside the dome. the views over Florence from the top of the Dome. The pass to the Duomo Museo to see the sculptures and artefacts that were once housed in the Cathedral Sainta Maria.

Our guide seemed to love her job, was very knowledgeable about so many things in the duomo including the ceiling painting scenes, and was very willing to answer questions.

What's not allowed

Leave your luggage and backpacks behind. Only small bags are allowed inside the museum.

Accessibility

Ramps are available at the Museum, Cathedral, Baptistry for easy access.

The Dome and terrace climb is not accessible by wheelchair. Guests with mobility issues, back problems, or heart conditions are also not advised to undertake the ascent.

Guide dogs (with relevant certification) are welcome at the venue.
