We recently went on the Hallstatt–Salzburg–Melk tour and it was a truly memorable experience. We booked the tour through Headsout and the overall organisation was smooth and well managed from start to finish. We were given enough time at each location to enjoy the scenery without feeling rushed, which made the trip very relaxed and enjoyable. The landscapes, especially around Hallstatt were absolutely stunning in winter, with snow-covered mountains and a very peaceful atmosphere. The tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful throughout the journey, explaining the history and sharing interesting facts along the way. In Salzburg, we were accompanied by a local guide who walked me through the city and highlighted the key attractions, which added a lot of value to the visit. Overall, everything was well planned, comfortable and enjoyable. Austria in winter is simply magical, and this tour was a perfect way to experience its beauty.

We loved this informative tour! Our guide was super-knowledgeable and took us straight to the chapel at Melk, advised us on the best things to see in Hallstatt and told us lots of very interesting things along the way. In Salzburg we had a different guide with a very dry sense of humour, which we enjoyed. She gave us a very good overview of what to see in Salzburg, so we could explore on our own later. We could also leave the tour in Salzburg and stay longer, which was perfect for us! I highly recommend this tour. Even though the weather was very foggy and we couldn't see much from the bus, it was very enjoyable and entertaining!

It was lovely experience!! Wish we could spend more time in the beautiful city of hallstat but over all everything was very very nice

Meet your guide in central Vienna and board a comfortable bus for the scenic drive to Salzburg. Make sure to arrive early, as the bus departs on schedule.

Once you reach Salzburg, your tour guide will be ready to take you on a guided walking tour of its most popular tourist sights. The first stop is the stunning Mirabell Palace, where you might recognize a few famous locations from the movie The Sound of Music. In the garden of the palace, you will spot the place where Maria and the children sang “Do-Re-Mi-Fa-So.” Marvel at the fountains and the steps as you reimagine scenes from the movie. Next, you will notice the horse pond where Baron Trapp sang the iconic Edelweiß song as he bid farewell to Maria.
