The Kuranda Skyrail Rainforest Cableway is spread across 7.5 km over Australia's unblemished tropical rainforests. This is an ultimate tropical rainforest experience that lets you glide just meters above the canopy before descending into the heart of the forest. Your first rainforest mid-station is the Red Peak Station- as you slip through the canopy layers, notice the rainforest discovery zone, enjoy ranger-guided boardwalk tours, and gaze out from the scenic lookout point. The next mid-station is the Barron Falls Station, where you'll be surrounded by rich views of the Barron Gorge. Convenient walkways take you to three lookout points, and you may also visit the Rainforest Interpretation Centre!
Whether you choose the one-way journey lasting 1.5 hours or the round-trip adventure lasting 2.5 hours, every moment will be filled with awe-inspiring sights and memorable experiences. Located just 15 minutes north of Cairns and a mere 50 minutes south of Port Douglas, you'll find Skyrail's Smithfield terminal. This convenient location serves as the perfect starting point for your Skyrail experience.
Diamond View Gondola Upgrade
If you're thinking of dialing up your sightseeing experience, consider upgrading to the Diamond View Gondola Skyrail Experience. Glass flooring gives you a better view of the rainforest canopy below you. Not just that, but you'll also have a dedicated boarding queue, with a maximum of 5 passengers per gondola. This experience is available as a 1-way ride only.

This ticket has the following variants that you can choose from:

Important Information
- Ensure you arrive at the ticket office 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time to allow enough time to check in. Regrettably, failure to arrive before this time will most likely be classified as no-show and result in forfeiting the booking and it cannot be refunded or transferred
- Children aged 14 yrs and younger must be accompanied by an adult throughout the duration of the Skyrail experience
- Each standard gondola seats a maximum of 6 people (including infants) or a maximum of 480kg (1058 lbs) whichever is first. Non-shared use of gondolas is subject to availability
- Please note that timings are dependent on cableway operational constraints and may be longer than these recommended times
- You can spend as much time as you like at Skyrail's rainforest mid-stations enjoying the facilities and rainforest atmosphere
- For the protection of the environment, smoking and the consumption of food and drink is prohibited in all gondolas. Eating and drinking is allowed at all of Skyrail's terminals and stations
- Day packs and fold up strollers can be taken on Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. Luggage is not permitted on the cableway or bus transfers. Small coin operated lockers are available at Smithfield (Cairns) Terminal (subject to availability and at own risk)
- Skyrail’s Smithfield (Cairns) terminal is located 15 minutes north of Cairns and 50 minutes south of Port Douglas.
- A one-way journey takes approximately 1.5 hours including time spent exploring Red Peak and Barron Falls.
- Allows 2.5 hours for a round-trip experience.
- First departure from Smithfield is at 8:30am and the last one-way or round trip experience from Smithfield departs at 1:00 PM.

Discounted Tickets
Infants aged 3yrs and below go free. Children aged 4-14yrs and families (2 adults + 2 children) enjoy reduced ticket pricing (carry valid photo IDs)
