Getting started
Meet your guide at your selected Yulara or Ayers Rock pickup location in the early afternoon. After a short introduction, travel into Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park and begin your immersive exploration of one of Australia's most significant cultural and natural landscapes.

Day 1

Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park exploration: Enter the national park and begin discovering the landscapes, geology, and cultural significance of the Red Centre.

Mutitjulu Waterhole & Kuniya Walk: Walk to Mutitjulu Waterhole and learn about Anangu culture, Dreamtime stories, and the spiritual significance of the area while viewing ancient rock art.

Kuniya Piti & sacred sites: Visit culturally important locations around Uluru and gain deeper insight into the traditions and stories of the Traditional Owners.

Day 2

Kata Tjuta sunrise: Rise early for sunrise over Kata Tjuta, where the domes emerge from the desert landscape in the soft morning light.

Kata Tjuta guided walk: Explore the immense rock formations of Kata Tjuta and learn about their geological history and cultural significance.

Walpa Gorge hike: Walk through Walpa Gorge, following a natural creek bed between towering rock walls while discovering native plants and wildlife.

Return to Yulara: Conclude your adventure with a drop-off back at Ayers Rock Yulara in the early afternoon.

What to bring
- Bring weather-appropriate clothing, comfortable walking shoes, a reusable water bottle (minimum 2L), sunscreen, sunglasses, a wide-brimmed hat, insect repellent, a torch or headlamp, toiletries, a camera, and an overnight bag.

- This experience is not suitable for guests below 8 years of age.
Accessibility

A moderate to high level of fitness is required for this tour. You'll take part in walks ranging from 2km to 6km, including sections with uneven terrain, steep rocky paths, and exposure to direct sunlight. The total walking distance across the tour can be up to 9–11km. Participation in walks is at the guide's discretion to ensure guest safety.

Guests aged 75 and over must provide a medical certificate issued within 30 days of travel.

Children aged between 8 to 17 years old must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian at all times.

Most meals are simple camping-style meals prepared by your guide or campsite staff. Guests are encouraged to help with meal preparation, clean-up, and loading or unloading the vehicle.

Photography is allowed in most areas of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. However, some sites are culturally significant to the Anangu people and photography is not permitted in these areas.Please follow all photography restrictions and signage during your visit.

Overnight accommodation is at a permanent outback eco-campsite.

Guests travelling on short breaks/extended tours bring small soft overnight bags and hand luggage only as we have limited storage onboard our vehicles.

Hiking routes at Kata Tjuta may vary depending on weather and park conditions.

The tour concludes at Ayers Rock Resort/Yulara and does not return to Alice Springs.
