What to expect
Tromso Fjellheisen cable car and mountaintop
This cable car links Tromso with the Fjellheisen mountain viewpoint, operating from 9am to 12am. The experience centers on reaching the mountaintop and spending as much or as little time there as you like within operating hours.
Features
-
Your round-trip cable car ticket covers the journey up to the Fjellheisen mountain station and back down again, so you can travel on the same day without needing any extra tickets.
-
Time at the mountaintop is flexible, so you can stay as long as you like within Fjellheisen’s opening hours, from 9am to 12am. Enjoy daytime views, the midnight sun from 20 May to 22 July, or the Northern Lights from September to April.
-
Access to Fjellstua Restaurant is included, giving you a place to dine or take a break indoors at the summit. Meals and drinks are available for an additional cost.
-
You also have access to Mountain Café, open from 9am to 11:30pm, providing another indoor space to sit or warm up. Food and beverages are available for an additional cost.
-
If you book the Round-Trip Tickets + Shuttle Bus Transfer option, a shuttle bus from Tromso city center is included in your package during the winter season, when the electric shuttle bus runs from November 15 to March 31. If you choose the Round-Trip Tickets option, you’ll need to make your own way to the lower station.
Wrapping up
When you are ready to leave, use the return segment of your round-trip cable car ticket to descend to the lower station.
