BEAUTIFUL! If you can, make your reservations in advance and try to arrive early. They do have a line if you don't have tickets, but the line is long and the times lag behind the later in the day it gets. Is it worth it to visit St. Chappelle and the Concierge? Definitely! St. Chappelle is stunningly beautiful. The stained glass panels all tell a story from Genesis to Revelation (Rose Window). It's hard to believe it was built in the 1200s and is still in great shape. I'm so thankful we found tickets at the last minute to see this treasure. I would have had FOMO if I hadn't seen it. It's quite incredible. The Concierge is also in great shape and amazing to visit. Now when I see Middle Age scenes, I can imagine where they took place, and where Marie Antoinette was imprisoned.

Just as jaw-dropping gorgeous as we remembered it from a visit 5 years ago. When we got to the front of the line, there was a solo woman whose misread her entry time. One in our party had stayed back at the hotel, so we invited this woman to use our extra ticket. It will forever be a treasured memory of how her face lit up. Despite language barriers, she continued to convey her gratitude throughout the visit. So beautiful to hear her audible gasp when entering the chapel. Favorite site in Paris!

We bought this tour to see Sainte-Chapelle, and did not go to Conciergerie. Saite-Chappelle is amazing, but I guess you could say it was sensory overload in looking at all the amazing stained glass windows and the Bible stories they depicted. Well worth the time (about 70 minutes once admitted).
    • Step back in history at 2 of Paris' most iconic attractions: Conciergerie and Sainte-Chapelle.

    • First, explore Conciergerie, a medieval royal palace turned revolutionary prison that held important figures like Marie-Antoinette in captivity.

    • Later, marvel at the gothic architecture and the breathtaking stained glass windows depicting scenes from the Bible at Sainte-Chapelle.

    • Fun fact: From the altar, Saint-Louis showed the relics to the Parisians every year on Good Friday.

    • Entry to Sainte-Chapelle

    • Entry to Conciergerie

  • These tickets can't be cancelled. However, you can use them any time until 31 Mar, 2026.

Amazing! The Sainte-Chapelle is a jewel. It is magnificent. We were also lucky enough to have a free guided tour of the conciergerie. It's so much more interesting to have someone tell you the history of a place.

The value of the experience for the money paid is not very good. The person controlling the crowd was very rude and not helpful at all. The times people were being let in did not correspond to what was on the sign.

The purchase was quick and easy, and the site is spectacular, plus at the conciergerie they give you a tablet for an immersive experience that is totally worth it.

  • When modern Paris has overwhelmed you with its boutiques, bicycles, and baguettes, step back in time at 2 of its most interesting and historical landmarks in the medieval Palais de la Cité — once the residence of the Kings of France. Sainte-Chapelle with its mesmerizing stained glass windows was home to Christ's Crown of Thorns, while the Conciergerie was home, or rather prison to Marie-Antoinette! This ticket gets you priority access to both.

    Conciergerie

On your itinerary first, make your way to this medieval royal palace that was abandoned by the Kings of France at the end of the 14th century (settling in the Louvre and Vincennes held more appeal), at which point it became a prison and revolutionary tribunal. It was one of the principal places of detention throughout the French Revolution (when it was known as "the antechamber to the guillotine").

That statement was certainly true in the case of its most famous resident, former Queen Marie Antoinette. As you wander the Salle des Gardes (Guards Room) and the immense Salle des Gens d'armes (Hall of the Soldiers) consider how she must have felt being imprisoned here. Her commemorative chapel was erected on the site of her cell in the renovation.

    Sainte-Chapelle

After your Conciergerie adventure, head to Sainte-Chapelle, standing proudly on the Île de la Cité. This intimate chapel and UNESCO World Heritage Site was consecrated on April 26, 1248, and was commissioned by King Louis IX, who wanted somewhere nice to house his collection of religious relics, including Christ’s Crown of Thorns.

This Gothic chapel is renowned for its collection of 15 gorgeous stained glass windows, depicting 1,113 scenes from the Old and New Testaments as well as a pane showing the relocation of the Relics to Paris, prominently featuring the church's patron King Louis. On a sunny day, the light streaming in through those windows makes you forgive every drop of rain that ever fell on Paris.
