The Grand Egyptian Museum is genuinely breathtaking. From the moment you arrive, the scale, light, and architecture feel monumental yet elegant. Seeing Egypt’s history displayed with such care and modern storytelling is unreal — it finally matches the greatness of the civilization itself. The galleries flow beautifully, the design is world-class, and the views of the pyramids are just wow. It feels like Egypt stepping confidently into the future while honoring its past. A must-see, even if you think you’ve “done” museums before.

It is very informative and amazing to put together the history that people have almost forgotten. The highlight for me was how the security helped us. After 1 1/2 hours of moving around, I noticed that my husband does not have his bag. He just remembered that he may have forgotten it in one of the security entries. Thank God, he returned with the bag, with all our passports and cards. He said that when the lady managing the scanner saw the bag that was left, she handed it over immediately to the security.

Wow!! What an amazing day it was! Its modern design, massive scale, and proximity to the Pyramids of Giza make it a truly remarkable gateway to Egypt’s ancient history. With thousands of artifacts—many displayed for the first time, including the full Tutankhamun collection—the museum offers an immersive blend of archaeology, architecture, and storytelling. It’s not just a museum, but a monumental celebration of Egypt’s heritage and a must-visit destination for anyone interested in human civilization.

It was my childhood dream and wish to visit the pyramids and words are not enough to describe the feeling and experience I had fulfilling my dream. The experience of entering the pyramid of Kufu was ethereal. The crowd was big but it was expected and well managed.

A MUST for Egypt fans. Very well designed architecture for wheelchair users and baby carriages. Despite the large number of people, there are always opportunities to retreat with a view of the pyramids to pause for a moment and sit down Great!

History is alive in this place. Skip the line helped save alot of time in the chaos of the entrance. The constant heckling from camel and horse people is really annoying and detracts from the experience. Later in the day the panhandling and cheap souvenirs vendors took the stage and they are just as annoying. They don't take no for an answer and really ruin the experience. Would not recommend anyone visit the pyramids.
