It is the most interesting museum, and with the audio guide you are immersed in the history of the paintings, it would just need to be better organized for the viewing of the Mona Lisa, to give everyone a way to be able to see it from the front... All in all, a very good experience.Royden

The Art is the reason to come to Paris from 7500 miles away, it is the investment made by this city over hundreds of years ago that pays off year after year as people continue continue to come to make a pilgrimage as we did on our 40th wedding anniversary. Sadly this is a once in a lifetime trip for us. We took as much as we could take in in the few days we could afford. It was terrific. A professor of mine came to do special research here after he retired. Linda and I got married a couple of years before he came to work at the Louvre. Victor Chan was a great professor at the University of Alberta with a personal collection of drawings worthy of the Louvre.Mosneaga

I was amazed by the fantastic ceiling paintings and designs. When everyone gathered in front of the paintings, just look up.Cabras

We also managed to get in a few minutes earlier than the time stipulated in the reservation, and this allowed us to cope better with the queue at the security checkpoints. The museum is really big and rich, although some rooms were closed for new installations. The visit lasted for more than 5 hours, which literally flew by between pavilions. I recommend visiting the museum in the morning when it is open, so as to avoid as much as possible the huge mass of people arriving throughout the day. The beauties admired were a balm to the eyes and a caress to the soul.
Explore the Louvre at your own pace with these reserved-entry tickets. Arrive at the time slot chosen and skip the ticketing lines for a hassle-free entry.
What to expect

From Egyptian artifacts that are 4,000 years old to modern works of art from Oriental artists, the Louvre has been the honorary arbiter of our artistic heritage.
Some of the must-sees at the museum are Da Vinci's Mona Lisa, Liberty Leading the People by Eugène Delacroix, the ancient Greek statues of Venus de Milo and Winged Victory of Samothrace, Hammurabi’s Code from 1754 B.C., and much more.
