It was a wonderful time at both museums. I loved the flexibility and accommodating nature of the staff at Moco so I could really enjoy my visit despite being a little late and having a small suitcase with me which they stored. The art at Moco was beautifully selected and displayed. Rijkmuseum was incredible and initially overwhelming with the amount to see but very easy to navigate and get around. The art was astonishing and the building so beautiful. They staff were ready and eager to help when people needed it. A truly wonderful experience all round. Highly recommend. Needed an hour in Moco and two in Rijks at least.

I visited the Rijksmuseum yesterday, 12th November and spent seven hours there. I had wanted to see the range of paintings and other items of art and was truely delighted. The Rijksmuseum has one of the best displays of art work in Europe. The paintings are set out well and I valued the details of each painting and other item of art given close by on the wall. In addition to these, I particularly valued the cards with more details of the paintings. I also loved the display of model ships, along with swords, guns and other arms. My visit was memorable and will stay with me for a long while.

Experiencing Amsterdam also means visiting the numerous sights and museums. Our highlight today was certainly the Rijksmuseum, which was quick and easy to get into with a ticket reservation! Make sure you allow 4 hours for this so that you have enough time to take in all the sights. We were there early, before 11.00 a.m., when it is still relaxed and less crowded, the masses only arrive in the afternoon, when it gets quite full. Then over to the MOCO Museum: Banksy, Warhol and co. A great end to the day!

I was impressed by the special collections immediately. The examples of wealth and elite craftsmanship in the past centuries were absolutely unreal to fathom. I also appreciate the acknowledgement that the people of these times and places wouldn't have the wealth they acquired without the sickening slavery and racism their societies thrived off of. Aswell as the depictions of Jesus being a man of color in some paintings

We got smoothly past ticket control at the Rijksmuseum and were there early enough to quietly enjoy the beautiful collection. We started on the third floor, with the art from after 1950. Highly recommended, you have the rooms with masterpieces almost to yourself! Of course we also descended to the crowd-pleasers on the second floor: Vermeer, Rembrandt.

Of course wonderful collection of art, I was reminded of the Fine Arts course in college at Harvard in the early 1970s. We focused on the Dutch Masters during our visit, but there is much more. I listened to the descriptions on the Rijks app, which enhanced my experience. The app is a nice addition with resources to enhance your visit to the museum.

I couldn't see so much for the entire tour, always tried to lift my head over the boat or squeeze into other people's open windows. The guide was funny and engaging- her voice tone was a bit too higher for my standards but for one hour is manageable :)
