After a great tour to Vesuvius and Pompeii, the end was a letdown. The driver was 90 minutes late, and we were only notified via WhatsApp. As we weren't checking our phones, we were stranded at the park entrance. An additional ticket for Pompeii or some compensation would have been fair.

Well organized, good information before and during the excursion. Especially the guide in Pompeii was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I doubt however whether I would suggest going on the tour, because the Pompeii site is very touristic (which the tour organization cannot help), making the experience somewhat less exciting.
