    Meet your guide at Stephansplatz, near the main entrance of St. Stephen’s Cathedral. After a brief introduction and ticket validation, your group will head to the cathedral’s main-floor interior before stepping outside.

    A walk through Vienna’s historic city center

    Afterward, take a scenic 1-hour walk through the historic city center, where you’ll explore some of Vienna's most cherished sites. Your guide will lead you through charming streets, past the Hofburg Palace, and toward the bustling Graben, one of the city's most famous pedestrian streets.

    The walking tour offers an opportunity to soak in the city's architecture, from Baroque to Art Nouveau, and the hidden gems tucked away in its lively streets.   • What to bring

    • Wear sturdy, non-slip footwear, as the floors in some areas may be uneven and slippery.

    • Be sure to carry a water bottle to stay hydrated, especially if you’re visiting during the summer months (June to August).

    • If you’re visiting between December and February, it’s a good idea to bring a warm jacket, as some areas of the cathedral can be quite cold.

    • Bring cash for on-site transactions, as certain areas, such as the gift shop, may not accept credit cards.

    What’s not allowed

    • Flash photography is not permitted, and there are restrictions on photography in areas such as the catacombs and certain chapels.

    • Large bags, backpacks, and bulky items are not permitted inside the cathedral for safety and preservation reasons.

    • Pets are not allowed inside the cathedral, except service animals.

    Accessibility

    • The tour is not wheelchair accessible due to the uneven cobblestone streets in the historic city center.

    • Arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time and meet your guide at Stephansplatz, just outside the main entrance of St. Stephen’s Cathedral.

    • Access to St. Stephen’s Cathedral may be limited during religious services. If this occurs, the tour will start with a walk through the historic center and proceed to the cathedral once it's available.

    • Dress comfortably, but ensure your shoulders and knees are covered as a sign of respect for the cathedral's sacred environment.

    • Be sure to look out for the ‘Fenstergucker,’ a quirky self-portrait of a stonemason peeking out from a window on the cathedral’s exterior.
