Took my parents on the Christ the Redeemer van tour and wow, what a day. The van ride kinda zigzagged up the mountain (narrow roads!), but honestly that made it more fun. Our guide, Claudio, was super chill and pointed out some random trees I’ve never heard of. At the top… just, whoa. The clouds drifted in and out and we kept playing peekaboo with the statue. It was PACKED (sooo many people taking selfies), but still, completely worth it. If you’re not a fan of big crowds maybe go early. We grabbed some coconut water at the top, too. Would do it again in a heartbeat!

Went with my partner for a sunrise trip up to Christ the Redeemer and DANG was it worth the early alarm. The ride up was suuuper chill (van was comfier than expected tbh) and our guide, Lucas, kept us laughing the whole way. Got lucky with the clouds, so the statue looked like it was floating! Def bring water, it gets warm quick. Only bummer—crowds are a thing, so if ur looking for solo statue shots, lol, good luck. Still, would do it all over again.

Honestly, the van ride was way more comfy than I expected. AC blasting, big windows for the Tijuca Forest views. Got up there mid-morning and it was already busy. Statue itself is EPIC in person, like, it’s massive. Only thing—felt a bit rushed up there (they kinda herd you along), but I still managed to get a few cool pics. Don’t skip the little souvenir shop on the way down. Worth it if you don’t wanna deal with hiking or taxis.

Well organized for getting you on and off the vans. Vans are fairly new and comfortable. Try to sit in the front. Warning- some of the drivers forget they have passengers and drive like boy racers....some are not so good on the many sharp hill curves. Hold on tight! The site of the Redeemer was chock solid with people...almost a crush...so getting that perfect shot is almost impossible. Enjoy

Me and my sister did this on a Tuesday, hoping for less people but nope, still packed. But hey, it’s Christ the Redeemer, what did I expect? Staff was FRIENDLY. Bus was clean enough, and they explained stuff in both English and Spanish (helpful for us!). Views from the top are just EPIC. Only thing, you gotta wait a bit for the van back down so bring patience. Worth it for sure.

Honestly, the best part was seeing my kids’ faces when the clouds cleared and the statue showed up. The van was air conditioned (thank goodness) and our guide was a total pro with the info—gave us fun facts instead of boring history stuff. Only downside was waiting in line for photos, but that’s life. Bring snacks for the kids, the little shop is $$$.

Since the redeemer was covered in cloud, the team gave me the choice to reschedule if needed. Meeting location needs updating on map as it's in the wrong place and made for a very stressful start to the day.

There was no guide, the skip the line did not work at all. Organizers of the place made sure that there is a booth that sells cold drinks and snacks right at the end of the line before you go onto second leg van and that shows the line extremely! No one told us we had skip the line tickets.
