A good insight into the history. We were approached by a very friendly German-speaking female guide and took the option of a guided tour to fully immerse ourselves in this historic site. fully immerse ourselves in this historical site. We were guided in a very knowledgeable and friendly manner. The audioguide is a good option but we personally loved it. Many thanks for the wonderful experience.

Busses run on time, not very crowded. Good value for the price. Maps very confusing, three different maps for the circuits in Heraklion. The Blue Line circuit for beaches near Heraklion is too long on the return route. This is not necessary, as the City Line bus covers much of the same circuit and runs more frequently.

Faster entry, but not as fast as we'd hoped, too many tourist coaches It would have been interesting if we had been informed on the site that there were too many buses and therefore too many tourists, so that we could have organized our visit differently. Visiting was complicated

Remarkable ruins from the past. Pity about the crowds but understand that lots of people want to view what remains from so long ago.

There were just too many people wanting to get a bus and also confusion over which bus we could use as they all looked very similar. Having booked tickets on line this did not appear to save me any time either, so all a bit confusing. We had to walk from the Cruise terminal to the old Port and then round to the museum stop before we could get on a bus. So stayed on until got back round to the centre again when we could walk through and then back to the Cruise terminal; so no real opportunity to hop onor hop off.

The buses were not on time. Waited about 1 hour for bus to come to Knossos Palace in Crete when the signs indicate 20 minute periods. Experienced similar delays at other stops (e.g., Galaxy Hotel stop). For 20 euro it was worthwhile just to get familiar with where the sites in Crete were located with the option of returning on another bus. From the Galaxy Hotel where we stayed it was a short 10-15 minute walk to the Museum ande Castle which are on the Hop-on-Hop-off bus routes.

A HOHO stop was in front our out rented apartment, and the package includes travel to Knossos. With the parking challenge this was a great benefit. HOHO is a great way to get a feel of the great city when you have limited time. I would definitely recommend this.

The bus was comfortable, and an easy way to get around the city. They were on-time and an overall good experience. I was interested in hearing about the city, but unfortunately the quality of the audio was very poor.
