Well organised trip to Delphi from Athens. The tour guide Mariganna was great, she was friendly and very knowledgeable. The Delphi site is incredible, I went at the end of June it was approx 35 degrees, there's a steady but steep incline to the top, so take plenty of water and sensible footwear as the marble steps can be quite slippery. I opted to have the lunch included, we had a 3 course meal in a traditional Greek restaurant in Arachova, the food was great, fresh local produce. I would recommend to include the lunch on this trip. It was a long day, but i would recommend it. I would suggest you also need a good level of fitness as the walk while your in Delphi would be too much for people with walking difficulties

Our guide was excellent and gave us Information that one would not see on a YouTube travel guide. as was our driver who was very capable and everywhere he should have beeb when he should have been. [NOT For publication - Headout could have received an "awesome" if you had not failed with the meeting place. We received a map which showed that the pickup point was at the corner of the streets where our hotel is situated whereas the guide was told to meet us at the front door of the hotel. This resulted in us both standing 5m away from each other for 15 minutes wondering why neither of us had turned up . i was also sending you messages as to why the guide was late but you never responded]

I loved the way the Acropolis Museum blends ancient history with modern architecture. The layout made it easy to explore the artifacts while feeling connected to the original site, which is visible through the glass floors and windows. I was especially fascinated by the Parthenon Gallery, where the sculptures are displayed in the same layout as the original temple. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the explanations helped me truly understand the significance of what I was seeing. It felt like walking through time.
    • Enter the Acropolis and witness Parthenon's ruins, a former temple dedicated to the goddess Athena.

    • Explore the Greek citadel, especially the Porch of the Maidens with columns carved as regal ladies that glow when the sun shines on them.

    • Avoid the lines at the Acropolis Museum which houses artifacts like the Head of Alexander The Great, the bronze statue of Goddess Athena and more.

    • Enjoy access to the museum's excavation site, revealing the remains of an ancient Athenian neighborhood dating back to 3000 B.C.

    • Fun fact: The temple symbol on UNESCO's logo represents the Parthenon, highlighting its global significance and historical importance.

The heat and the crowds! Haha Seriously, the entire experience was memorable. The audio aided in appreciating and understanding the significance of the venue. And helped me discover that I'd been mistaking the Athena Nike temple for decades. Oops

Yes, the Acropolis and its history is impressive. The experience is a journey into the past in which you understand the greatness of the Greek people and the devastation that humans are capable of producing without contemplation to the conquered.

We love the flexibility that this entails. Tickets were pre-arranged by Headout 👍🏼. Audio guide in English was clear and made use of GPS. This flexibility allowed us to spend whatever amount of time that we'd wanted at each exhibit and at Acropolis itself, since it was extremely warm.
