The DMZ tour is a unique experience that I would recommend to any traveler in Korea. It confronts you with the situation in Korea like nothing else. Julie from PLK Travel was a charming, extremely helpful, and informative guide for us. 💛💛💛

The tour with guide Paul was one of the best guided tours of my life. He shared personal stories with a perfect balance of distance and humor. It was easy to understand Korean history and see the DMZ from a historical perspective. It was an awesome experience, and everything was well-organized and communicated! I highly recommend tours with Paul – he’s an amazing guide who truly brings the experience to life.

    • View North Korean landscapes and cities from Dora Observatory, and walk through the dim 3rd Infiltration Tunnel, a passage once capable of moving 30,000 soldiers per hour.

    • Visit Unification Village, which offers a glimpse into resilient farmers' peaceful lives under special security, learning their stories and way of life.

    • Fun fact: Walls of the 3rd infiltration tunnel are still blackened from the coal North Korea smeared on them to disguise it as a coal min

The guide was nice and did some jokes but I felt pressured to find the jokes funny. The tour itself was interesting and informative. When we drove to the third tunnel the guide told us that if we have anxieties or heart diseases we are not able to visit the tunnel. It would be great to have these information before you book the ticket. I think the group was a bit big - an info about the size of the group would be great.
