Unfortunately, there is no more castle romance, but an absolute mass tourism machine. This is to be expected, but still It was the first and last time. Prices for tours unfortunately extremely high. 2 adults and 2 small children over 90€Elvira

Hohenschwangau Castle is the quieter alternative to Neuschwanstein Castle. Around 20 people took part in our guided tour with an audio guide. We were able to use the German audio guide, contrary to the selection made when booking online. The tour was just the right length, our guide Elke was very friendly and always had time for questions and short, pleasant conversations outside of the tour. However, photos and videos are prohibited during the tour. The online booking via the Headout app went smoothly. A printout, as shown on the online ticket, is not necessary. A clear recommendation!Phr
