Visiting the Mezquita early in the morning, as soon as it opens at 10 am, allows the magic of this historic place to unfold. The later you visit it and the more people there are in the building, the more of it is lost.
I was there for the 9th time today and am already looking forward to my next visit.

The cathedral/mosque is wonderful, immense, an unimaginable place, where architecture and different religions intertwine to create something unique! In the photos the arches look beautiful, but in person they are something incredible, I absolutely recommend the visit!!!

The Mezquita was not overly crowded, although groups of visitors with guides piled up in the cathedral, the centerpiece, making it almost impossible to get through. The rest of the Mezquita was pleasantly spread out.
Next time I would skip the cathedral inside because you can't see much anyway when it's so crowded.
You should also better coordinate/limit the guided groups in the center of the Mezquita so that everyone can see something.
The atmosphere in the different areas with changing lighting was very moving. Fascinating to understand the different building eras...
