Discover Luxor’s ancient treasures
The Valley of the Kings holds more than 60 royal tombs, including the famous, well-preserved Tomb of Tutankhamun. This day trip from Hurghada lets you explore both the east and west banks of the Nile without having to organise guides yourself. An air-conditioned bus takes you to key attractions such as the Valley of the Kings, the Colossi of Memnon and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Please note: entrance tickets at each site are not included and must be purchased separately on site.
What to expect on your trip
You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Hurghada and travel with an Egyptologist guide to Luxor’s most famous monuments, including the Temple of Karnak. After visiting Karnak you’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant, then have the option of taking a felucca boat ride across the Nile (at an extra cost). Continue on to the Valley of the Kings, Queen Hatshepsut’s Temple and the Colossi of Memnon — two giant statues of King Amenhotep III. After a full day of exploring ancient Egypt, you’ll return to your hotel in Hurghada.
