Sao Jorge Castle is a beautiful spot high above the city of Lisbon. You can climb the ancient crenellated walls, which frame 360 degrees of wide and lovely views. There is a musem with relics from the original Arab city of the middle ages through the city's Roman and Christian eras. The castle is surrounded by shaded gardens where peacocks wander among the olive trees and stone benches and the ships pass far below beyond the colored rooftops.

Thanks to the fact that we bought our tickets online, we were able to get in faster. Because all the time there is a long line. But when you are inside it is a marvel what your eyes see and everything is worth the wait. The security people outside some of them are very nice but the women are very rude and don't give you the information you need, they just tell you to wait in line without paying attention to what you say.

The sailboat models were the most beautiful I've ever seen from 2 feet to 6 feet long. The detail was simply amazing to witness the evolution from rowing fishing boats to working fishing trollers to ships for exploration the most beautiful being the combination of steam wood and Sail shine Portugal's mastery of the art of nautical science

The ticketing process worked great. The attraction itself seems to fall short of expectation. Not sure if they cordoned off sections of the monestary when we are there but it seems to be just 2 levels of repeating patterns architecturally, a room with ancient tiled walls and we are led to the exit, done. I think we spent more time standing in line waiting for our entry time than perusing the interior.

The best part of this ticket is the downloadable audio guide. I found this tour to be one of the best of our trip. Being able to listen to the history of the tour made enhanced the stunning visuals of the monastery. Instead of just walking and seeing, hearing the history of the church made this trip more interesting.

We liked the unique Manueline architecture, the Church of Santa Maria, and the ornate cloisters. The highlight was the tomb of explorer Vasco da Gama. We have been to Goa in India which use to be a Portuguese Colony and have many buildings which have similar architecture
