I, and many friends of mine, had a great experience! The trick is to not expect too much, especially when reading the advertised durations, and just let the experience happen. I think we spend about an hour for the traditional scrub, bubble massage, head washing and just relaxing in the heat. A small part of our group felt like their experience was clearly more rushed than the others. So things might depend on who's assigned to take care of you.

The Turkish bath experience in a building of the 16th century Ottoman architect Sinan was exciting. Being my first time in an experience like this, I can't compare, I tried to live it and observe it. I have been to different Spas and I know it is not comparable, if I can say something negative it is that it lasted less than an hour.

Booking was straightforward and effective, except that the Google pin was in the wrong place on one of the links you could click on (and correct in another place!) The building is old and traditional, the staff are friendly and welcoming. The hammam experience is interesting. but a little stilted and lonely if you go alone. Traditionally people would go in groups of friends, and chat and make a social occasion of it.

The 2-hour duration refers to the time you can spend inside the bathroom, which, it must be said, is very beautiful. Unfortunately, the wash only lasts about 20 minutes (scrub, soap bubbles and hair wash). Pleasant and typical experience but need to be more honest in describing it!

Fantastic authentic spa. 2 hours of a body scrub, relaxing on the hot slab and then an oil massage. The massage was excellent.

  • With stress at an all-time high, this is a good excuse to head to a Turkish bathhouse for a relaxing soak. Even better if it is a 500-year-old historic bath that still keeps its traditions! The Cemberlitas Hamam was built in 1584 by the famous Ottoman architect, Mimar Sinan for Sultan's wife. Located next to the entrance of Grand Bazaar, it is easy to find and offers services like massages, manicures, and pedicures. Your experience here includes scrubbing, foaming, and relaxing, followed by a tea-drinking experience. Men and women have different sections, and each visitor gets a locker room with a bed, mirror, and a hairdryer. Moreover, you don't have to carry anything with you. The bathhouse has towels, slippers, shampoo, soap, deodorant, hairspray, and gel. While your experience can last approximately 1.5 hours, you can stay in for as long as you like. You can also opt for a good massage if you'd like to enjoy more self-care and if there is time in hand. It is totally worth it!
