Very interesting tour. Our tour guide was excellent (I forget his name but he had a beard) with very good English. The tour was just the right length and full of interesting content. I imagine it must be hard talking about such depressing times on a daily basis so I appreciate the guides for the work they do. One thing though would be to have a sign outside saying Tour Meeting Point, as its very confusing at the entrance as there are so many people, and the photo sent prior is different. We went in 15 mins before and we told twice to keep waiting outside when our group had already gone in and we unfortunately missed the start of the tour. Went to the Salt Mines the next day and the signage and queuing process was seamless. Its not difficult.

It's an excellent place to visit and the factory is really well laid out to learn about the history from before the war until the end of war. It covers some really key parts. However the tour itself felt very rushed, we missed some parts because we wanted to read some of the information on the boards as well. It was a big so it wasn't always possible to hear the tour guide if you ended up at the back. I'd love to go back to the museum but I think next time we'd do it at our own pace. Tour guide was also late, and we'd arrived the 15 mins early it said to. In this weather that wasn't fun.

The tour was on time and we were met in the meeting place and escorted in to the museum. The tour is 90 minutes and at times you could see that the guide was rushing through and with a few checks of his phone to see the time he was definitely keeping pace. Yes I would have loved to have more time reading each display but I wouldn't have learnt as much as I did if I visited independently. The guide was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Overall I enjoyed this experience and would book it again.

I visited Oskar Schindler’s Factory today and it’s easily one of the most powerful museum experiences I’ve ever had. From the entrance you already feel that this is not a “classical” museum, but a historic place turned into a story you walk through. The permanent exhibition “Krakow under Nazi Occupation 1939–1945” is exceptionally well-designed: narrow corridors, reconstructed streets, tram interiors, flats and offices re-create the atmosphere of an occupied city and make you feel how quickly “normal life” turned into persecution and terror. The mix of original documents, photos, short films and multimedia is very balanced – informative without feeling overwhelming. Although the museum is in Schindler’s former enamel factory, the focus is much broader than just his biography. It’s primarily about the fate of Krakow’s Jewish and Polish population, the creation and liquidation of the ghetto, and the machinery of Nazi occupation. Schindler’s story appears as an important thread inside this wider context – especially in his preserved office and the room with the wall of enamel pots symbolising the lives saved. Standing there, with the names from “Schindler’s list” around you, is deeply moving. On the practical side: • Organisation: Circulation is one-way and clearly marked; exhibit captions are in Polish and English, well written and easy to follow. • Crowds: Even with pre-booked tickets you should expect crowds and a slow pace – but in a way, the density of people adds to the feeling of claustrophobia that the exhibition wants to transmit. • Time needed: Count at least 2 hours if you want to read, watch and reflect in peace; anything less feels rushed. Overall, this visit is emotionally heavy but absolutely essential if you are in Krakow. Don’t come here expecting a Hollywood retelling of the film “Schindler’s List”; come prepared for a detailed, sometimes uncomfortable history lesson about occupation, collaboration, resistance and courage. Rating: 5/5 – a must-see museum that combines powerful storytelling with rigorous historical content.

There are a few suggestions I would like to share, purely with the intention of enhancing the experience for visitors to the factory. At present, many of the exhibits rely on photographs, short videos, and sound recordings depicting pre-Second World War Kraków and the wider historical context. While these are informative, I was particularly hoping to gain a deeper insight into Schindler’s factory itself—how production took place, how the workers were engaged, and how daily life unfolded within these walls. This was, after all, the place where Oskar Schindler worked, lived his routines, and provided employment and protection to around 1,200 people—many of whom would have stood, worked, and survived here. Recreating that environment, or preserving it more vividly as it once was, could truly transport visitors back to the years 1940's until the end of the war, allowing them to feel Schindler’s presence in a more tangible way. One can learn extensively about Kraków’s wartime history in many other locations across the city. Visitors come here specifically to understand Schindler’s story, his factory, and his actions. While our guide was knowledgeable and engaging, much of the narrative focused on broader historical events rather than on the enamel factory itself and Schindler’s extraordinary work within it. I wish to emphasise that this feedback is offered as a suggestion for improvement, not as criticism. My visit left me with profound gratitude and admiration for Oskar Schindler. He was a remarkable man who restored faith in humanity through action—not words—by risking everything to save others. There is no doubt that Schindler has earned the highest respect, not only from me but from countless people around the world. If the factory experience could further highlight his presence and daily efforts within this building, it would allow many more visitors—especially those less familiar with his story—to truly understand and admire the magnitude of what he did.

The tour was made so special by the gentleman whose name I didn't get unfortunately. The factory tour of course was the main initial draw for us but this gentleman brought so much to life ... political, social history, how his own famiky were impacted - he made it not about numbers who suffered the consequences of an evil occupation of their homeland but made it personal; about individual men, women and children. He made me feel immensely proud of a polish people I had not known and who I have no right to feel proud of and ashamed of my country's lack of support in their hours of need. There are lessons here for us all to learn, fire warnings for those of us who live in Europe and only watch and do nothing when evil powers oppress other countries, people groups and those whose faith is not their own.

The exhibition and the guide were very informative, however, it was very difficult hearing the guide, there were too many people in the group and in parts of the exhibition it was too small for the number of people on the tour, so if you were at the back of the group you couldn't hear the guide. Headsets would have been better, so we could all hear and a reduced group. An amazing museum which did document the history of Kraków's WWll history but a struggle to follow at times.
