Cockington Green Gardens Tickets

A must-visit in Canberra, Cockington Green Gardens is a miniature version of an English village and has expanded to include an entire international-themed area.

Named after the village of Cockington in England, the park displays unusual English styles of architecture.

Inside the International Area, you'll find miniatures representing attractions from 30 countries.

Stroll past the expertly manicured gardens, and ramble through the hand-cut turf maze.

You could also enjoy a picnic or snack at the on-site café.

Children will especially love the miniature steam train rides.

Explore the lovely and enchanting display of miniature buildings at Cockington Green Gardens, in Canberra’s Gold Creek Village. You'll find houses and monuments from over 30 countries, from Scotland’s Braemer Castle to Peru’s Machu Picchu. As you explore the gardens, you'll find yourself charmed by this world of minuscule people and tiny structures. The clear attention to detail in the constructions and surrounding gardens is impressive, and the miniature steam train ride is fun for people of all ages!

Important Information

The display may be closed in the event of extreme weather.

Cockington Green is a wheelchair and walker accessible display. This access is available at any time by request. The wheelchair entrance is located beside the main ticket entrance.

The granite paths and walkways through the gardens are all accommodating for a variety of equipment.

Cafe wheelchair access is available entering via the Rose Room.

Wheelchairs and mobility scooters are available for hire for a small fee.

Cockington Green Gardens has disability bathroom facilities that are located near our Garden Cafe entry.

Operating Hours

Daily: 9:30am onwards (last entry at 4:15pm).

Viewing available until 5pm.

The minimum viewing time recommended is 1.5 hours.

Closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

The nearest bus stop is O'Hanlon Pl before Gold Creek Rd, which is a 2-minute walk to the Cockington Green Gardens.

Cockington Green Gardens is located at Gold Creek Village, a convenient 10-minute drive from the Canberra City Centre.

Free car and coach parking is available onsite.
