We got there before 10 o'clock, and there were just a reasonable number of people there. An hour later, we would have ended up with a crowd. The Klimt collection is magnificent, but there are many other noteworthy paintings. We loved the Herman de Vries Lavender exhibit too. The Botanical Garden is huge and very relaxing.

Very short line at the entrance, especially because we had booked tickets with Headout. Evocative atmosphere, right from the entrance: it felt like stepping into a 19th-century museum. Plus, we watched a gentleman painting live, which was perhaps the most human thing I noticed. Highly recommended!

It was good however while using the audio guide, it kept switching explanation literally every two seconds for no reason. I listened to an explanation 5 times because it kept going to the previous explanation. I would take a couple steps, it would explain the room I was in and all of a sudden it switched back to the previous explanation. So I would move forward and it would restart the room explanation just to go back to the previous explanation.

With this ticket, skip the line to the ticket counter/box office and head straight to the museum entrance!

Rental fees: Permanent collection tour €5.00, Austrian sign language multimedia guide permanent collection € 2.00.

For reasons of hygiene, please use personal headphones (standard 3.5 mm connection). As an alternative, disposable headphones are provided.

The parking lot for people with disabilities is located right next to the entrance gate of the Upper Belvedere, Prinz Eugen-Straße 27.

Note: With your time slot ticket you book a fixed access time to the museum. The duration of your stay is unlimited.

The Upper Belvedere's north and west facades are set to undergo renovations from April 2024. Scaffolding will be disguised with a net replicating the facade. The entrance and access to the venue will remain unaffected.
