Absolutely a must do in Vienna. We took the tram from our hotel to the Belvedere Castle. The grounds are breathtaking and free to walk around until the castle and gallery opens. Uou see a lot of locals jogging, walking, and taking babies for a stroll. Enchanting. There is the upper and lower building. We went specifically for the Klimt collection but were excited to discover so many other artists' work. Our tickets were for 11:15 and entrance is not allowed until then. They are very strict in order to manage the crowds. It was October, and it was very busy. You have 2 hours to tour both buildings, which was enough. We arrived an hour before our start time, so we enjoyed a coffee and cake in the cafe and then walked the massive gardens until said time. Truly beautiful. Museum shop had some wonderful treasures.
