From Madrid: Segovia & Ávila‎ Full-Day Trip

My kids enjoyed the bus ride the most. Our guide never slowed down to take in the sites. When we got to lookout points that you'd want to stop and appreciate, she kept walking. Inside the alcazar, she was very knowledgeable. But continued room to room, again leaving little time to explore it. I think there was still 1/3 of the alcazar we didn't see. When we were by the aqueduct and allowed some free time to explore and have lunch, we were told to meet back at 1:30 to meet the bus. But, most of the restaurants don't serve lunch until 1p. So you feel like you don't have time to enjoy the better restaurants bc you won't finish by 1:30. Having said that, the bus didn't show up until 1:45. In Ávila, I thought our tickets were going to get us in to see the cathedral (the description said so). We all huddled under a small tree trying to escape the sun, hearing about it from outside. But never seeing more than the exterior. The views from the walls was nice, but it was just a 200-300yard section. If possible, would just find a way to get to Segovia. Ávila probably not worth it. And I don't think the guided tour is necessary. Could've been time better spent at either the Prado or Reina Sofía museum.

As duas cidades são lindas. Surpreendentes de fato, uma verdadeira viagem no tempo. A viagem foi bem organizada mas de fato é um pouco corrido ver as duas cidades em um dia somente. O único problema foi a péssima qualidade do som no ônibus. Com muitos ruídos, não conseguimos ouvir bem o que a guia falava, nem em inglês , nem em espanhol.

Loved the beautiful sites! The bus transport was efficient and Angy was a wonderful guide!

Sicuramente la professionalità e l'empatia della guida e dell'autista e poi abbiamo visitato due luoghi a dir poco stupendi e siamo stati fortunati a vedere anche la processione del Corpus Domini ad Avila
