The ride is spectacular! As your trip progresses, the view widens on dramatic glaciers and beautiful mountain panoramas, including of course the majestic Matterhorn! The track itself with its multiple tunnels and viaducts is a masterpiece of engineering!

This is an ESSENTIAL trip for anyone visiting Switzerland. 'Stunning' doesn't do justice to the views you get, and it is surprising how quickly you climb out from Zermatt to see views to die for. Don't be put off if it's cloudy in the town, likelihood is the clouds will only be in the valley, and up above will be warm and sunny (as it was for us last week). I took the opportunity to hike down between two fo the train stations when we came down - probably the most beautiful walk I've ever done. 100% a 'must do'......

The Matterhorn excursion left me breathless in the best way. Watching that iconic peak rise into the sky felt like stepping into a living postcard—one painted by God Himself. Was unsure what to expect but our journey to the "top" was a highlight of our time and made for the perfect day trip. We rode all the way up and the hiked down to a great lunch spot! The views were beyond what we expected. Would 10/10 recommend.

I was worried that it was expensive for our party of 4 but when I think what we would have missed!! Fantastic few days with perfect weather. I would suggest checking the weather before booking.

Haben das Matterhorn mit der Gornergratbahn erkundet. Soweit alles gut gut funktioniert mit den Tickets, mit einer Kritik : Stellten sich mit dem zugesandten CR-Code Tickets in der Schlange an, jedoch mussten wir feststellen, das man vorher mit dem CR-Code Ticket das Einlassticket beim Ticketschalter lösen muss. Also nach langen Anstellen wieder retour zum Ticketschalter. Lösungsvorschlag : Vielleicht einen Hinweis beim Ticketkaufs das man erst ein richtes Ticket lösen muss, oder hab ich das überlesen.
