Explore the alleys and streets of the Moorish quarters!

Your walking tour will begin from the Plaza Nueva, the oldest square of the area. You will explore the High Court of Justice of Andalusia, which was the seat of the former Royal Chancery of Granada. You can explore the Caldereria, which still houses the Moorish past of Granada. It is teeming with shopping areas, and you can see numerous bazaars and ancient souks that sell almost anything. You will walk through a teahouses street, where you taste some of the finest aromatic teas in the country. You will also get ample opportunities to try out some of the local snacks, called tapas and three drinks at traditional bars in Granada!

Discover the stunning architecture of Granada!

You will then visit the Church of San Jose, which is built in the caliphal style of architecture. You can see the Muslim prayer customs here. Right next to the walls of the church, you can see the Santa Isabel la Real, which was founded by the Catholic Queen. The Gothic-Isabel architecture is magnificent to behold, and the remains of the Nasrid Palace can be seen. You will then walk to the San Nicolas Viewpoint, from where panoramic views of Granada can be seen., You will be able to catch sight of the renowned Alhambra fortress and palace complex from here. At night, the entire town is illuminated spectacularly and you will revel in the breathtaking sight in front of you. Next up is a visit to Acera del Darro. You will also get a chance to see the famous Carmen of Albaicin, which means vineyard. A perfect combination of practical home and ornamental garden, the carmen are beautifully laid out and can be seen throughout the quarter. You will then make your way back to Plaza Nueva, and the tour will conclude.

There is a significant amount of walking involved on this tour, and it is recommended that you wear comfortable shoes and clothing.

Timings

The tour is available throughout the year except on the 25th of December and the 1st of January. From the 16th of March until the 15th of October, the tour runs from Wednesdays to Saturdays and will begin at 7:45 PM. From the 16th of October until the 15th of March, the tour runs on Thursdays and Saturdays and will begin at 6:45 PM.

The duration of the tour is approximately 2.5 hours.
