One thing I noticed right away that I liked was that we were allowed to board the ship 30 minutes before departure. The ship was clean, and the service was quick and very friendly. We sat outside under umbrellas. The audio commentary was very clear even out there during the cruise. I did occasionally miss hearing which side (right or left) the sights were on. Two hours is a good length of time and goes by quickly.

It wasn’t my first boat trip on the Rhine, but it was my best one. It started with the fact that, as a person with a disability using a wheelchair, I was allowed to board first. Throughout the trip, the service provided by the staff at BNord was very friendly and attentive. The coffee and cake were delicious (the cake tasted just like Mom used to make). The commentary on the sights on both sides was well-presented. All in all, an impressive trip.

The family-run Gilles company operates a very neat and clean boat, which we took for a ride. The staff were always very friendly and, despite the large number of guests, served us very quickly. In just a few minutes, you’ll reach the Prussian fortress across the Rhine. It’s located near the Basilica of St. Castor. The cabins are very spacious and can accommodate at least 20 people. It’s a truly pleasant trip with a breathtaking view of the city of Koblenz, the Deutsches Eck, and the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers.
