The crew is a well-coordinated team. The commentary was easy to follow in both English and German. The stories were charming and funny. They drew on personal experiences, current media coverage, and perhaps even some insider knowledge. I lived in Berlin myself for eight years, but seeing it from a tourist’s perspective made it much more entertaining and interesting. I’d just like to pass on the following to the owners of the Haydinski shipping company: Charging 5.30 euros for a glass of Coke is, quite frankly, outrageous. That’s my only criticism.

As a Berliner, I took the short Spree river cruise with my out-of-town guest. It was part of my brief sightseeing tour. The boat ride was short, informative, and presented in a humorous way. It also refreshed my memory on a few points. It was a lot of fun. The weather was fantastic. Everything was great. If we have more time next time, we’ll do the full tour. Berlin from the water has its own charm and plenty of greenery. Every visitor to Berlin should do this. An hour in nice weather is always doable, but please bring sunscreen! That was our mistake. When the sun shines over the water in Berlin, it really shines!

I wanted to see Berlin from a different perspective, and this boat tour gave me that opportunity. The guide makes it very enjoyable, and besides seeing the sights, you get to hear some of the history—which wouldn't be the same if you were walking. I really enjoyed it.

Wheelchair users are asked to contact the museum beforehand in order to access the side entrance. The majority of the permanent exhibition allows barrier-free access.

There is no bag check though guests will be required to pay 1 euro for a locker if the staff considers a bag to be too big.
