Tips for the best sightseeing cruise experience

  • Arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to secure open-deck seats, which fill fast and offer the best views.
  • Pick a midday or early-afternoon cruise if you want the clearest skyline visibility and bright daylight for photos.
  • Sunset trips give you warm golden light, softer shadows, and a cooler breeze — great for atmospheric shots.
  • Bring a light jacket even in summer, as winds on open decks can feel stronger once the boat starts moving.
  • Download any audio guide apps in advance since data at the waterfront can be slow, and you might miss commentary.
  • Check the exact pier name before leaving; many boats depart from nearby docks, and it’s easy to mix them up.
  • Keep your phone or camera ready because major sights appear quickly and often one after another.

+1 more

The ease of purchasing tickets online, the faster admission process, and the audio guide on my cell phone, to start with. The girls at the entrance are really wonderful, they are very helpful. Upon entering, the lighting of the cistern makes the work stand out. The path marked above the water allows you to admire the entire structure. Although there were many people, you could look around and stop freely. It is a very interesting experience to also understand a little history and stop to admire the architecture.

I loved everything, starting with the fact that they were super punctual at departure time, the yacht was very comfortable, and the snacks were delicious, not to mention the tea and Turkish coffee, which were delicious. 100% recommended.

It is an amazing ceremony to see. A QR code provides access to explanations in different languages, but the oral presentation is in English. Located in old Istanbul, right next to Hagia Sophia.

The tour moved smoothly due to small crowds. The explanations were clear, the mosque beautiful. The guide was knowledgeable, and explained some of the Arabic symbols that would have been hard to understand.

It was a pleasant and comfortable cruise during which we were able to enjoy the sights along the Bosphorus on both the European and Asian sides. You can choose to go up on deck or stay below deck—which is what we did because of the cold weather. The price is reasonable.
