Arrive at Mleiha National Park in Sharjah and make your way to the Mleiha Eye Lounge, where your entry to the Perseids Meteor Shower 2026 event is validated. After check-in, settle in and get acquainted with the event space as the evening begins. Staff will guide you to your comfortable seating area, setting the stage for an immersive night under the stars.

This UNESCO-listed archaeological landscape is one of the UAE’s most renowned stargazing destinations, offering a naturally shielded setting with minimal light pollution for optimal meteor viewing.

• Watch the Perseids Meteor Shower, with up to 100 meteors per hour at peak, as Earth passes through the debris trail of Comet Swift-Tuttle. The dark desert sky provides clear visibility for the fast, bright streaks overhead.

• Take part in a guided astronomy presentation led by experts, who explain the science and stories behind the Perseids and the night sky above Mleiha.

• Enjoy scheduled telescope sessions, giving you the chance to observe celestial objects up close and deepen your understanding of the cosmos.

• Savor a desert buffet dinner (included for guests aged 5 and above), featuring a variety of dishes served in the open-air setting.

Wrapping up

As the meteor shower winds down, you are welcome to remain in your seating area until the event concludes at 1:00 am. Dinner is included for guests aged 5 and above; children 4 years and below receive complimentary entry but do not have dinner included.
