The polar bear was awesome. However, I am not sure how happy he is in his relatively small area.Kateryna

ZOO as such is great, love the animals and the whole atmosphere. What was really bad was food availability as there was hugr amount of people. Huge rows everywhere and waiting time. With children this is challenge.Jutta

It was my first time at Schönbrunn Zoo in Vienna. I found the design of the grounds very appealing and animal-friendly. The old and new buildings harmonize very well together. The animals have large enclosures and yet you can find and see almost all the animals without too much trouble. The enclosures are designed to reflect the natural habitat of the animals in Wrkllöchkeit. I have never seen koalas in a zoo before and the 3 animals were sleeping a lot, but you could also see them awake during several visits. They are particularly cute. I particularly liked the calico enclosure, which also has a wonderful outdoor enclosure. A mother ring-tailed lemur had a 3-day-old baby and showed it off to the many visitors, who were all able to marvel at it. I also liked the sloths, which had their 14th young together last November - that must be extraordinary. I also liked the fact that there were always people from the zoo around who you could ask at any time if you wanted to know anything about the individual animals. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to see the armadillo during my visit, which I've never seen in real life. I also asked the staff, and although I knew where they could be the 3 animals in total, I couldn't find them. It's not too bad though, considering these animals often burrow for 1 week and therefore aren't seen that often. All in all, a wonderful zoo where you can easily spend the whole day. As I still had time, I visited the zoo a second time as it was so beautiful and I felt very comfortable here. Unfortunately there are no panda bears in the zoo at the moment, but 2 pandas are due to move in again in spring/summer. I've never seen this species in a zoo before and it's definitely a reason to go back to Vienna and visit them.... I will definitely make plans to come back to Vienna soon and visit this wonderful zoo again. Conclusion: A great experience for the whole family!Martine

Tickets , qr code worked fine ! There is no queue so the whole skip the line makes no sense. The zoo there I had more trouble with, lots of animals in small enclosures. You can get very close, it's not very big and the contrast between the old ornate buildings and the animals very bizarre. Really watching animals in pens. Pandas were not there....
