Relish in the Cultural Heritage of Sarawak

Spread over 17 acres, the village is a shining example of ethnic diversity as Sarawak’s 7 different ethnic tribes are represented here. You can explore the Melanau, Bidayuh, Orang Ulu, Iban, Penan, Chinese, and Malay tribes up-close by visiting a detailed replica of their tribal homes such as the Chinese Farmhouse, Penan Hut, Iban Longhouse, etc. Interact with the friendly staff, who will welcome you dressed in their local traditional costumes. Mingle with them, ask them about their day-to-day activities, and also remember to click a few pictures together! Pay a visit to the handicraft shop and pick up some souvenirs like eye-catching headgear or multi-colored bead necklaces to take back home.

Discover Music Anew at the Rainforest Music House

See an impressive collection of musical instruments at the Rainforest Music House and furthermore, get acquainted with the popular music of Tuku Kame. Another highly-recommended activity worth a visit is the multicultural dance performance in the village theater. An award-winning dance troupe takes center stage in their striking costumes to delight you with their intricate dance routines twice a day at 11.30am and 4pm.
