After a gorgeous but chilly 30 minute boat ride out to Robin Island you feel how remote this place actually is. Our first tour guide Mapose (sp?) spoke to us about his experience while living in the prison with torture of incredibly barbaric types with such a moving story. Two have come out of what he came out of with such a positive and reinforced love of humanity is just incredible to me. He shared a lot of emotion on his sleeve. He gave us a lot of of the history of the island that I just don't know if I would've learned any other way. Then we were taken to the inside of the prison where we were shown the cells and the terrible conditions under which the people were kept. It was cold uninsulated, and downright inhumane. It's always good to look back at where we've come from, to see where we can go as human beings, and this journey was just an incredible reminder of the strength of spirit of people like Nelson Mandela, all those around him and those who came before. This Tour is a must see!

City tour was excellent! The audio was very informative. A lot of historical background was given for several monuments. The free wifi was a bonus. Staff are very helpful and will give guidance with a smile. My experience on Long Street and Bo Kaap was very enjoyable. So was the Table Mountain cable experience. Thank you so much

Comentarii utile și recomandări de vizitat. Singura dezamăgire legată de turul cu autobuzul roșu a fost faptul că nu s-a oprit la Sea Point și Green Point, ci a trecut direct pe lângă ele. De ce?

Totul!!! De la îmbarcarea la V&A, până la priveliștile minunate pe care le-am admirat în drumul nostru spre Franschoek! Ohhh, Franschoek, ce frumusețe 👌👌 Ospitalitatea de care am avut parte la toate podgoriile, șoferul de tramvai! Ce moment minunat am trăit💃🏻 10/10, fără nicio rezervă! Ce experiență uimitoare🙌

Seeing not only Wonderfully colourful Bo Kaap but the historic buildings and the stories behind them.

Our experience using the Table Mountain Cable Car was exceptional! We booked our tickets online with ease, and the fact that the tickets are valid for a week is fantastic, especially when weather conditions can affect your plans.
On Tuesday, 1 September 2026, we arrived at the cable car station and found parking easily. The walk to the cable car was pleasant, and we were greeted by friendly, welcoming staff. There was no queue, which made the experience even better.
The cable car ride up was amazing, with magnificent views. At the top, we enjoyed walking around the mountain and taking in the spectacular scenery. The bathrooms were very clean, and we also bought some items at the shop and enjoyed them at the tables while taking in the views.
After about two hours, we headed down again. We always felt safe and well looked after throughout the experience.
A truly wonderful experience that we highly recommend! 🌄🚠
