Priveliștea în sine este uimitoare! Cu toate acestea, am plănuit să cumpăr un bilet la Pompeji online, dar nu am putut face acest lucru. A trebuit să cumpăr un voucher și, odată ajuns acolo, trebuia să stau la coadă și să schimb voucherul cu un bilet. De ce?

Vizitarea orașului Pompei a fost o experiență fantastică! Totul a decurs fără probleme, deși, așa cum era de așteptat, a fost destul de aglomerat cu turiști. Cu toate acestea, călătoria din Napoli a fost memorabilă - călătoria cu trenul a fost făcută specială de un acordeonist care cânta muzică tradițională italiană, iar pasagerii aplaudau. Pompei a fost minunat și a fost bine să avem bilete în avans, deși a trebuit să stăm la coadă pentru a le răscumpăra. Am opta pentru bilete fără ghid, deoarece ne place să mergem în ritmul nostru, dar o zi nu a fost suficient pentru noi pentru a vedea totul, și poate data viitoare vom obține ghidul, precum și pentru a afla mai multe. Vizita la muzeul de arheologie este o necesitate, precum și multe fresce sunt expuse acolo.

Siturile de la Pompeï și Herculaneum au fost impresionante și trebuie neapărat vizitate atunci când vizitați Napoli sau, ca noi, Roma. Herculaneum este, așa cum ne-a spus toată lumea, minunat. Pompei este atât de mare și de aglomerat încât este destul de obositor. Dar a meritat din plin. Noi suntem din Marea Britanie și avem rămășițe romane acasă, dar nimic ca asta. Herculaneum este ușor de accesat și anticariatul este minunat. Există locuri pentru a sta și doar să ia totul în, în timp ce Pompei este mai plin-on. Biletele au funcționat bine.

The museum is closed every Tuesday. If Tuesday is a public holiday, the museum will postpone the closing to Wednesday.

The newsroom shuts down half an hour before closing time.

The Secret Room is open every day from 9am to 2pm and entrance is allowed to small groups. The Coin section is open on Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 1pm.

Entry is free on the first Sunday of each month.
