I loved the history that was presented with the paintings. It gave me a deeper appreciation for what the artists were depicting- from family life to outdoor life all those years ago in that part of the world. Plus, I was exposed to artists I hadn't heard of before. Really wonderful artists. But honestly, one of the most special moments for me was the Rembrandt painting which depicted a husband and wife, who was wearing a red dress. It was a tender and beautiful painting. I especially wanted to see it because I believe that this painting was the one that Van Gogh stood in front of for a very long time as noted by observers who saw him there. I stood in front of it too, though probably not for as long as he did. Anyway, it was a lovely experience.

    The Rijksmuseum was fascinating, with amazing artwork and rich history, while the canal tour gave a peaceful and beautiful view of Amsterdam from the water. The combination of both made the experience unforgettable.

    Visitamos el museo con dos niños de 7 y 10 años y les gustaron mucho las actividades que plantean, estuvieron entretenidos toda la mañana. La única pega es que había mucha gente y tocaba hacer cola para algunas cosas, quizás podrían ajustar un poco las entradas.

    Das Rijsmuseum war klasse, auch ohne Guide. Bei der Grachtenfahrt war doof, dass ich nicht wusste, dass ich zuerst ins Ticketbüro musste um die über head- out bezogenen Tickets scannen zu lassen. Ansonsten alles okay!
