City Sightseeing Porto - Hop on Hop off

Porto is the second largest city in Portugal. The history of Porto dates back to the 4th century, to the Roman occupation of the Iberian Peninsula. The charm & character of its old quarters filled with cafes & shopping centres is matched by the Cathedral area which is perfect for exploring. In the civic centre of the city, located in the Central Baixa quarter, you can explore outdoor cafes along broad avenues as well as the two-tiered covered daily market. Take a tour of the city with City Sightseeing Porto and you will see all the things to do and see there.

Visitors will be delighted to discover that shopping in Porto includes national chains as well as independent shops and boutiques for more unique purchases. Malls and shopping centres such as Shopping cidade do porto are the most convenient options, but be sure to check out Porto's downtown or historic districts to find the most unusual gifts and trinkets, art, antiques and clothing. You may wish to relax by the coast at Praia do Ourigo, visit the Praca da Liberdade (literally translated as the Square of Freedom) where you will see the Monumento a D. Pedro IV, or discover the many churches including the Igreja de Santa Clare, Igreja dos Grilos or the Ogreja se S. Nicolau. Take a stroll around the Museu de Arte Sacra, Museu do Vinho do Porto (museum of port wine), Museu Romântico, museu nacional soares dos reis and many more.

With 38 conveniently located stops around the city, City Sightseeing makes touring Porto both easy and fun. Plan your day and discover all the things to do in the city. Explore the Jardim Do Morro (Garden Of The Mount) or take a trip to Castelo do Queijo (Castle of the Cheese), which is a fort located on the coast with a sea-facing wall. The fort was given the name of Castelo do Queijo because it is built in the top of a rock that resembles a piece of cheese. Also worth a visit is one of Porto's most characteristic symbols, the Torre dos Clérigos which is a tall bell tower that can be seen from various points of the city. From uncovering Porto's past to discovering Portugal's modern culture, you won't be short of things to do with City Sightseeing Porto.
