    The story

Chicago is a dazzling musical set in the roaring Jazz Age of the 1920s. It follows the story of Roxie Hart, a vaudeville dancer who murders her lover and then tries to use her newfound fame to escape conviction. Alongside her is Velma Kelly, a fellow inmate and vaudeville star who is also on trial for murder. Both women are caught in a media frenzy, manipulated by the unscrupulous lawyer Billy Flynn, who promises to turn their trials into sensational spectacles. As Roxie and Velma vie for the spotlight and seek to outshine each other, they navigate a world of corruption, deceit, and manipulation. With its jazzy score, sultry dance numbers, and sharp wit, Chicago offers a compelling blend of entertainment and social critique.
