Why watch A Christmas Carol
Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol remains one of the greatest tales of redemption, community, and the power of change. Award-winning company Shake & Stir Theatre Co. takes the classic to new heights with enchanting set designs, projection technology, and period costumes that bring this story to life.
The story
Ebenezer Scrooge is no fan of the seasonal cheer of Christmas Eve. As far as he’s concerned, the sooner it ends, the better. Yet, as he drifts off to slumber, he finds himself visited by the first of four ghosts, and soon he embarks on a journey through time that forces him to reckon with his own misery and amend his ways before it’s too late.
