Both the Puccini museum and the birthplace museum are magnificent. In the birthplace museum, one particular docent noticed I was limping, and began taking care of us - lending me her chair, escorting us to the elevator, and making sure her replacement docent continued to take care of us. The works in the main museum are arranged by period/ topic, and the audio narratives are great. The works in the birthplace museum are early works and sketches, beautifully displayed, plus personal items that belonged to the family. The audio guide there is also fantastic! You really get to know the family via the wonderful exhibits. Both museums are a must see, though the birthplace was my definite favorite!

The visit to this museum was our highlight in malaga. Besides the beautiful art displayed, we learned so much about picassos life we had never known before. They have his first drawing at age 9 which was amazing to see! If i knew how to doenload the picture I would. So because I can't you must go visit and see for yourself. The staff could not have been more warmer or engaging. The tickets were so easy to buy on line. Go if u stop in Malaga and breath in what made Picasso brilliant

Great place to visit, and doesn't take long. The staff were all very helpful and provided audi machines in English. I really just wanted to stand in his house but there were plenty of exhibits to see and lots of information. You also get to visit "number 13" for free with the same ticket where there was even more information and loads more exhibits, well worth it.
    • Thought this was like any other museum? Think again! This is the exact home where Pablo Picasso was born, and his artistic story began.

    • Move through intimate rooms filled with personal objects, family photographs, and early works that feel less like exhibits and more like fragments of real life.

    • Notice how Málaga shows up in his work. Bullfighting, doves, the Mediterranean threads that quietly run through his art long after he left.

    • Alongside Picasso’s world, explore a surprisingly strong contemporary collection featuring works by Miró, Bacon, and other modern voices.

    • Upgrade for an in-app audio tour to step outside the museum and trace Picasso’s Málaga, from his baptism site to the streets he once knew.

    • Entry to Picasso Birthplace Museum (Museo Casa Natal de Picasso)

    • Access to permanent and temporary collections

    • Audio guide in six languages

    • Malaga city audio tour accessible via the Headout app (as per option selected)

  • These tickets can't be cancelled or rescheduled.

The most impressive thing is walking through the house knowing that Pablo Picasso was born there and breathed the air within those walls...
